Phil Kenyon joins the Team at Vertex Golf, to Supercharge Putting Technology

Vertex Golf is revolutionizing putting with their innovative motion sensor. This tiny device, available in two configurations, inserts into your putter head or attaches to the shaft, transforming it into a smart putting tool. The device tracks between 10-29 metrics, revealing the intricacies of your putting stroke. Face angle changes, backstroke rotation, clubhead speed, rhythm, and even lie angle are all meticulously captured, providing an in-depth picture of your putting mechanics.

This data is then fed back into the Vertex Golf app, where real-time feedback and insight can help you and your coach identify areas for improvement.

The origin of this partnership lies not in fleeting accolades, but in a shared passion for the game and a deep-seated belief in the power of technology and innovation. Six years ago, Kenyon and Vertex Golf CEO Robert Slade-Baker forged a strong personal and professional bond through working on various collaborative projects. Fast forward to early 2023, and Kenyon found himself captivated by the Vertex Golf Motion Sensor. Its ingenious design, accuracy, and transformative potential for golfers of all skill levels resonated deeply with him.

Kenyon expressed, “I have always enjoyed working with Robert, and when he contacted me, almost a year ago now, for some advice and feedback, I was happy to help. When I saw the product for the first time, I was instantly impressed! To achieve what they had to date, and the potential of what the product could do, was exciting to see. Over the past year, I have meticulously dissected the product and their vision. The more and more I got involved, the more I realised it wasn’t just about a possible endorsement anymore – I couldn’t sit on the sidelines. I had to be more involved.”

Kenyon’s involvement will extend far beyond simple endorsement or promotion of Vertex Golf’s existing products. He will be actively involved in the development of current and new technologies and coaching programs, ensuring that Vertex Golf remains at the forefront of golf innovation. Together with the recent announcement of Vertex Golf’s partnership with Science & Motion (SAM PuttLab), this multi-layered collaboration will result in a unique blend of advanced putting technology and proven coaching methodologies, empowering golfers of all levels to take their game to the next level.

  • Enhanced product innovation: Kenyon’s deep understanding of the game and the needs of golfers at all levels will guide the creation of truly impactful equipment and technology, ensuring every product delivers tangible performance improvements.
  • Accessible instruction and training: Kenyon’s expertise will be woven into Vertex Golf’s digital offerings, providing golfers with access to exclusive instructional content and training programs, regardless of their location or skill level.

“Phil Kenyon’s arrival marks a huge leap forward for Vertex Golf,” said Robert Slade-Baker, CEO of Vertex Golf. “Phil, joining the team, exemplifies our unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation and making golf more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. We are confident that Phil’s expertise and influence will play a pivotal role in shaping the future, not just for Vertex Golf, but for golfers around the world.”
